Short talk:
Something wicked is happening rite now in Shanghai. It’s 4 pm but
the WHOLE sky’s BLACK. Honest. Looks like a terrible storm coming… A third typhoon perhapes?
And does anyone read this bloggie anymore? My counter doesnt seems to jump at all. And no one tag one. I think one day, like Nas, I will close down this bloggie. Since no one cares anyway.
And Good LUCK SIT Club… For the AGM, and all the new and would be Excos and OGLs

Wow. Time Flies. Like shitting in the tolient where time always seems to fly pass like nobody’s “Business” (pun intented.)
It’s less than like one week left in my Shanghai OIPP. And boy the amount of memories I bring back will amount to countless Gigabytes time the power of infinite.
Anyway, I have been to these places outside Shanghai:
1) Heng Zhou
2) Zhu Jia Jiao
3) Zhe Jiang
And now to add to the list is Suzhou, another nice trip to the ancient sites and sounds.
We took train, this time a first class train.

THis is a train, not a plane.
Apparently Joanne’s excited bout this.

We reached in just an hour’s time, veri fast and quick.

Suzhou- says the sign
Over there, we visited 10 places… From temples to old Courts to city gates to old bridges… It was a fantastic trip…
One of the things we done is going onto a boat.. and this lady on it sings brillantly for us… Cool Shit… Her voice the most beautiful i have heard (Live).

Ok. I am fucking fatter now, i know.

Along the way, we got bus trips too.

Maybe Edwin’s gay, maybe he’s not.
We also learn how people get silk from silk worms.

Also many other places…

One the places is this court yard place… cool place…
HUH?
WAT IS EDWIN DOING?
LOL….
Our Spoof!
Notice we got the Shanghai Wave as background! heeee

Wow, just look at all the things we had done and places we been to… It’s been a great trip…
But something on this trip made me ponder on a taboo offenive topic. That is, the “commercialization” of RELIGON.
We were actually supposed to go to a Buddist Pagoda, the highest in Suzhou, built by some emperor sometime long ago for his mother.
Anyway, we reach there only to find the pagoda under renovation…

So we dont get to visit the pagoda. But of cos in this place there are a lot of statues and other artifacts nice for us to see.

Somehow reminded me of Bryan
The tour guild who brought us there said that becos we dun get to see the pagoda, which is under renovation… The high monk there decided to give us a ritual FREE OF CHARGE in the temple. She said it’s a special ritual that the master seldom gives…
TILL then, we havent smell any scam.
We walked in a room, and are asked to kneel down. Then the monk started a ritual, chanting and splashing water droplets at us. Then it ended.
Then he gave us each a “24k gold plated” card… which supposingly manufactured and “BLESSED” by the HEAD commissioner of Suzhou Buddist Society.
WOW! So u can mass BLESS like mass production. “Cool!”

Our “Blesssed” temple
He said “GIVE u.”
That’s when we smell the scam… Cos b4 we know it, the monk said that the wish of the commissioner is to let the pagoda be built nicely…
I was preparing 10 bucks (cos i smell the scam…) But u know wat? he actually said that the damn “24k gold plated card” cost 30 RMB, and we have to pay…
Haiz. We all parted with our money… But why is this even happening? I know that the monk did’nt “cheat” us, but hey, he used the power of RELIGON to make us pay him.
Just something to ponder bout… Has religon become so commercializated that even monks are not trust worthy anymore? It saddens me, to say the least.
If even religon is “money-oriented”, I can’t see anything in this world I can truly trust anymore…
Rock on.
